PRODUCTS FOR INSTALL PAGE
These are just some of the items and products we endorse and install on the majority of the vehicles that come in here on a daily basis. We appreciate the function, form and all over fit of these products and use them on all of our race and daily driven street cars.

SUSPENSION & BRAKE UPGRADES
Why have all the power without any control? Most stock suspensions can barely keep up with the power the factory gave it. Wouldn't you like to stop on a dime or hug the curve like a sports car? You can because we install quality products from the following companies and many more. These are just some of the lines we carry and have been using over the last 5 years. The following products are given the Metric Spec seal of approval(because they are on our cars right now): Sprint springs, Skunk2 coilovers, Tokico adjustable struts and shocks, Energy suspension polyurethane bushing sets, Suspension Techniques anti-roll(sway) bars sets, Strut tower braces upper/lower, AEM Big brake kits, Axxis Metal Master pads, Custom big brake swaps(Honda/Acura)
ENGINE SWAPS
Bored of that DX cruisemissle? Tired of getting smoked by that Mitsubishi RS? We understand because we were there at one time, but then we upgraded. This is perhaps most likely our specialty here at Metric Spec. It seems like the world is going to all hybrid swaps these days and why not? You get the gas mileage of a Geo Metro and 0-60's of much higher priced "performance" vehicles. We are Honda/Acura specialists but dabble in other import ventures. SUPER/TURBOCHARGERS/NITROUS OXIDE
We love boost. We love boost. We love boost. Can you tell we love boost? I can tell you personally and from experience there's nothing like it. Sure some people prefer all motor, and rightfully so, but there's just something you can't replace after you here the whine and pssst sound of a charger and a blowoff valve the first time, along with the look on the guys you are racing beside after you totally destroy him. Sound like fun? We are a big spokesman for Vortech(duh) and highly recommend their kits for fit and function. We also carry and install the following: Rev Hard turbo kits, NOS & ZEX complete nitrous systems, Greddy Turbo kits, FMAX, and Vortech Superchargers.
DRIVETRAIN/TRANNY UPGRADES
Much like the need of suspension to keep up with the power your beast is putting out, most people neglect the key to optimum performance: the drivetrain. When it breaks down, the last thing horsepower sees is the wheels, before it travels here however it must release its energy through the flywheel, clutch, transmission and then the axles. Honda clutches while strong can usually only handle up to 200 WHP(wheel horse power), that is power that actually sees the road. Why skip out on making the most of that power? The first place to start is the clutch. We have been using ACT kits sucessfully in all of our cars for over 5 years with nothing but respect for them. They have the holding power at a great price and aren't going to kill your calf muscle. We also carry the following drivetrain options: Lightweight flywheels, ACT clutch kits, Extreme clutch kits, Puck clutchs, Phantom Grip/Kaaz LSD(limited slip differential), Performance Axles, short throw shift kits

 


EXHAUST SYSTEMS
You can either love it or hate it but when it comes down to it you need it, exhaust systems that is. Gains for most cars on a stock level don't show much of a gain, but for any vehicle that plans on going beyond stock, this is a must have. We have access to major brands such as Greddy, N1, Skunk2, and also sell custom 2-3" custom cat back systems as well. What would a full exhaust be without a header? We also sell and install headers from the DC line.
GAUGES AND ELECTRONICS
So you got the power, and your suspension and clutch are ready to handle it, wouldn't you like to know whats going on inside your system? We carry and install a full line of gauges and electronics to let you know the 411 on your setup. Whether its boost or oil pressure we can do it and make it look good while its just sitting there. What about those of us with VTEC, what are our options? Well we also install multiple lines of vtec and fuel controllers such as Field's, Apexi Super AFC, and many others. Sound too basic for you, well we also install stand alones also like AEM's Plug n Play system that we currently use on our street/strip Vortech hatchback. Don't wish you had done it, do it and think of it as buying cheap insurance for detonation and all out destruction of your vehicle.

INTERIOR/EXTERIOR STYLING
While most of our work here at Metric Spec is performance oriented we don't fail in our obligation to make the vehicle shine inside and out. Though most of our work on the outside is custom to the owners ideas, we spend a great amount of time creating these custom accents to our work. Kurt Filz is our resident auto body/paint custom guy. He can do the work from small, such as door and trim paintings, to entire redux of the pigmentation of the vehicle. The interior is left to the rest of us and cover a wide array of signature pieces such as custom gauge clusters, relocation of control features, and pretty much is left up to your imagination and wallet size. We carry from these and other lines: Sparco, Spoon, Mugen, Honda/Acura, VIS Carbon Fiber, TEchno, and many more
ENGINE MODIFICATIONS
We didn't forget about you guys. Most people know that reliability and power should go hand in hand and others know that Honda makes some kick butt power plants that are always power ready. This is where all motor comes into play. We install a wide assortment of components to get you rolling. The camshaft is where most people start, applied with a set of adjustable cam gears and springs and retainers, power has been made from 7 to 20 plus horsepower at the wheels on a variety of applications and powerplants from companies such as Skunk2, CompCams, Crower and Zex. Where is lift and duration without compression? We also install and build motors with quality parts from Eagle, Wiseco, and Honda OEM. To follow it up we also intall performance intake manifolds from Skunk2, Edelbrock and Honda OEM. We want fast ET's and so do you, so let us help you realize those.


CAR AUDIO/VIDEO/SECURITY
Your done now right? Your car is fast, stops on a dime, handles like a champ, but your factor system sounds like crap, you're not alone. We invite you to listen to any one of our strip/street vehicles on staff here. Our custom system designer here is Corey Morgan, to this day it still amazes me how he can make one 8" JL sub sound like 2 or 3 10"s. Here at Metric Spec we can customize any car for maximum sound and enjoyment. If its visual pleasure you like we can also put together a television kit for you so you never miss that Sunday game on the drive home. And why have all these goodies without an alarm system? We do it all and do it right the first time with no BS. Here is what makes your car shine and perform year after year. Engines are like any machine, they need to be maintained in certain intervals throughout the life of the vehicle. Here are just a few of the services we perform and a matrix that tells the mileage of these routine repairs: Timing belt/Water pump, Oil changes, Ignition Tuneups, Tranny tune ups, Cooling system flushes, fuel system cleanings, intake system cleanings, brake system checks and many more. Your car can last a lifetime if you put the time into it, don't let your car go downhill and need seriously expensive work, keep it maintained.
